RIP, CHINO XL!

We are heartbroken over the loss of Chino XL, a mentor, friend, and lyrical genius who shaped Irvin’s music career like no other. 💔 In 2005, he inspired Irvin’s journey into rap, and Irvin poured his heart into every verse because of Chino.

When Chino heard Irvin rhyme in 2007, he told Irvin that he was a '‘talented cat” and that he wanted to collaborate on a track. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go as planned, as Irvin quit rapping in 2008 to pursue a career in broadcasting. 📻

Even though Chino and Irvin didn’t work on a song together, years later, when Irvin launched ‪@TheGrizzlyPodcast‬, Chino promised Irvin that he would come on his show. 🎙️

The last time Irvin saw Chino was earlier this year (March 2024). Chino hugged Irvin and thanked him for being so patient with him and that he was ready to link up for the interview, but sadly, we weren’t able to share his story on our podcast. 😔

While Chino may be gone, his legacy will never be forgotten. 🎶👏🏽 Thank you for believing in our podcast. We are incredibly thankful for your friendship.

Thinking of Chino’s team and family and wish them all strength and comfort. 🙏🏽

Rest easy, Chi! 👑🐐 (You Are The G.O.A.T)
